This looks more like the kind of thing that opens in January than the work of an Oscar nominee.

It's like an arthouse Set It Off. Looks really good though, and I'm betting McQueen elevates the material above standard action-thriller.

Also, what a fucking cast.

I'm having a feeling Flynn got more say than McQueen. 12 Years a Slave was a hit but Gone Girl was bigger (though a lot of that was due to Fincher).

Looks terribly generic to me. It's a great cast, a good director, and the female twist makes it interesting to watch out for, but those trailers make it seem like a generic action film to me, of which we're being shown wayyy way way too much in those images. And the "Gone Girl author" factor makes me wary. But hey, I hope I'm wrong.

This is the first time I've looked at this movie and not seen the word "Windows". I've seen stuff for this movie for the past year and every time I see the word "Widows" I read it as "Windows" and think "That's not a very good name." I literally thought the name of this movie was Windows until just now.

This is Windows, a 1980 film that was controversial when it came out but has become obscure now.

I think this looks fantastic. It's more...action-y (?) than I'd expect from McQueen.
