I wonder what compelled Amazon to finance this generic looking thriller that would normally be something with Scott Adkins and Bruce Willis and directed by one of the hacks those two usually work with?

Roadside Attractions has never had a film hit 1,000 theatres (this is supposed to be the first) and John Cena's no Bradley Cooper. Plus, it's facing Kong: Skull Island. It won't even come close to American Sniper's numbers (Hacksaw Ridge couldn't and that had a much bigger release).
