The movie was originally planned to be shot in 3-D but Soderbergh didn't like how the dailies looked (he had gotten an prototype of Red Camera's 3-D camera to shoot with and it had some issues that weren't corrected in time) so it was shot flat instead. This is why it's on IMAX as it was hoped to be in 3-D.

I do like this trailer, but why release it in IMAX? Did it add very cool special effects or something?
