Viggo Mortensen reminds me of Christoph Waltz here.

This is one of mine! What a great cast!

Is there a release date on it yet?

Not yet. I think it's being saved for Toronto (Cronenberg won there with Eastern Promises).

Both of his last two movies opened in September but I think it's a little late for that now. I can't really see it breaking out though, great cast or not. Both Eastern Promoses and A History Of Violence did only average numbers and I'd expect the same again.

hmmm, but this looks more mainstream accessible than those two movies. More than Eastern Promises, anyway, i haven't actually seen History of Violence other than the trailer.

Regardless, i think it looks intriguing and will definitely be checking it out.

I will too, I've been loving the direction Cronenberg has taken recently, he seems to have found a new lease of life after his 90s movies, none of which I can say I enjoyed (that obviously isn't the right word, it's hard to 'enjoy' a Cronenberg movie after all...).

I find the subject of this film to be much less mainstream accessible than the two previous Cronenbergs....

Sigmund Freud is a harder sell than a comic book adaptation or the Russian Mafia in London.
