Re: Clash of the Titans
i'll admit that, on occasion, i respond to a trailer like this with a typed "Pfff."
This is the first time that I LITERALLY responded with a verbal "Pfff" at the end of the trailer...

Re: Clash of the Titans
Was this the trailer for Clash Of The Titans or the trailer for 300: Greek Myths?
Also, "Titans Will Clash"? Way to state the obvious.

I've gotta agree, that was the worst possible tagline, it makes the who thing feel like a spoof.Buscemi wrote: Also, "Titans Will Clash"? Way to state the obvious.
At least we can abort fetuses. Bad grammar and language last a lifetime.

I can now see why this is opening in March while the niche appealed Jonah Hex will open in June.

Re: Clash of the Titans
Thats a great tag line. In the spirit of other great movie tag lines like;
Braveheart. "Hearts are Brave!"
Raiders of the Lost Ark. "Lost Arks will be Raided!"
Elf. "Elves"
See why I hate remakes??? This trailer is a shoulder shrugger.

Re: Clash of the Titans
I have to agree, that tag line is pretty bad. the action looks kinda cool, but with the music and the added cheesiness just makes it look like a spoof, like someone said up there
Re: Clash of the Titans
If you don't know you are specifically watching a Clash of the Titans trailer, which you wouldn't if you had no prior knowledge like us movie dorks, and were just sitting in the theater unaware, seeing the "Titans.... Will..... Clash" doesn't come across nearly as cheesy, it comes across as informative, at least in my opinion.

Re: Clash of the Titans
But here's the thing: that is not Clash Of The Titans. Clash Of The Titans is Laurence Olivier and Harry Hamlin with Ray Harryhausen's famous stop-motion effect. The trailer that we watched is nothing more that a Greek Myths-styled version of 300.

Something tells me that title isn't going to catch on. They should have stuck with calling it Clash of the Titans.Buscemi wrote:But here's the thing: that is not Clash Of The Titans. Re: Clash of the Titans
One interesting thing: Gemma Arterton who beat out 1500 other actresses for her role in Quantum of Solace is starring in 2 potential 2010 blockbusters - Clash of the Titans AND Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time !
