I am so embarrassed of our country for bastardizing this movie SO badly.

I think it looks hillarious. I am very curious to see what Chris Rock,Tracy Morgan and Martin Lawerence can do in the same film.

Yeah, they had me at Chris Rock, Morgan, and Martin. Hopefully, it'll be better than Kingdom Come though.
And, becs, remakes are always going to displease someone. When you do a shot for shot, people wonder why a remake was even done in the first place (REC, Funny Games). And when it's different, people bitch about ruining the original (just about any other remake).

I don't hear many, if anyone complaining about The Thing, or The Fly, Invasion of The Bodsnatchers or even Scarface. Not all remakes are bad, but some just don't need to be remade.

Like ones that were exceptional films when they came out, only 2 years ago -_-
I'm not sure how to comment on this one without it coming across as a racial issue, but in changing the context they turned it from an occasionally crass but witty comedy, into a lowbrow loud and over the top comedy.

At least we can abort fetuses. Bad grammar and language last a lifetime.

Yeah, I haven't seen the original but I'm sure they dumbed it down. Then again, that's America in a nutshell.becs wrote:Like ones that were exceptional films when they came out, only 2 years ago -_-

Well I meant in instances where the original is well known by the general public...silversurfer19 wrote:I don't hear many, if anyone complaining about The Thing, or The Fly, Invasion of The Bodsnatchers or even Scarface. Not all remakes are bad, but some just don't need to be remade.

It would be Tranny's most awaited film of the year had they gotten Sinbad and Michael Winslow too.
