Walden Media and the director of the Jennifer Aniston flop Love Happens (who also happens to be the son of Joe Camp, the original film's director) are doing it.

Probably not all that bad of an idea. Just as long as they keep it in the spirit of the original series and don't try to dumb it down (unlike Walden Media's adaptation of Because of Winn-Dixie, which was a terrible adaptation of that book).

You made a post with nothing but dots. I figure this means indifference but actually say something next time.

Definitely indifference. Not at you, but more towards a Benji remake. Cause what more does the moviegoing audience want than a dog movie from the 70s...

Re: Benji Remake In The Works
How about an animated bear movie (Yogi Bear) from the 50s.....?
Re: Benji Remake In The Works
Yeah... about that... Dan Aykroyd and I need to have a talk
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude
Re: Benji Remake In The Works
I don't understand why they need a celebrity voice for Yogi Bear. The character has a voice already that you could easily pick out of a lineup, so you could get anyone at all to play it. It's not like, say, a Pixar film where you would like someone that's noticeable playing the voice.
They're not really even advertising that he's doing the voice, which really isn't great in the first place. I wonder if he talked to Bill Murray before he decided to take the role because of Garfield.

Actually, the teaser poster mentions that Dan Aykroyd is voicing Yogi Bear. Same with Timberlake as Boo-Boo (who's said to be spot-on in his impression).
