Oh, didn't know it was Lung cancer, bugger. Out of curiosity, was he a smoker? I don't expect anyone to answer that...

He was very good as the villain from John Wick.

Really? Suicide it seems. Why does this happen fairly regularly? Drugs, alcohol, sexual abuse or a combo. Sadness

Actor/playwright Sam Shepard passed away on July 27 from Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was 73 years old.

Sadly, I don't remember him from very many movies. I know he played Julia Roberts' lover/teacher in The Pelican Brief, but that's about it.

Also just heard that veteran character actor John Heard passed away this month. He was 72.

He played the dad in "Home Alone", and, like Sam Shepard, was also in "The Pelican Brief" (and, ironically, both of their characters were assassinated in that film).

And:

French actress Jeanne Moreau passed away at the age of 89. Sorry, Chien.

June Foray, who voiced such animated characters as Granny (Looney Tunes), Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Aunt May Parker (Spidey & Friends), Jokey Smurf, Granny again (Tiny Toons), passed away at 99 years old.

Deborah Watling, an English actress who was on Doctor Who in the 1960's (playing the 2nd Doctor's companion Victoria) died on July 21 at 69.

The original Predator was and is one of my favorite action flicks of all time, so I was saddened by the death of Sonny Landham, who folks will remember as Billy, the big Indian from that movie (and also as a baddie in 48 HRS.)

Who can forget his immortal line from that movie... "We're all gonna die."
