Damn it. That sucks. I loved him in damn near everything he was ever in, from Die Hard to Galaxy Quest and beyond. Of course, when I think of Alan Rickman, I always think of this and chuckle.

Benedict Cumberbatch does such a spot-on Alan Rickman impression, I think he should be legally required to BE Alan Rickman until we all get over the shock.

Alan Rickman was a fantastic actor, but I'll always know him as Professor Snape, the most misunderstood character in the entire Potter universe.

The Snape's memory sequence in Deathly Hallows Part 2 is not only the best scene in any Harry Potter movie, it's one of the best scenes of any movie I've ever seen. 2016 kinda sucks already.

Also just realized that veteran character actor Richard Libertini, who I'll always remember as Chevy Chase's boss in the Fletch movies, passed away on 1/7 at the age of 82.

Dan Haggerty, known chiefly for playing the title role on the wilderness TV series "Grizzly Adams" passed away today at the age of 74.

Jeez. Another rock and roll superstar has died.

Glenn Frey, a founding member of the rock band the Eagles, has died at 67, a publicist for the band has confirmed.

"Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia," reads a post on the band's official website.

Abe Vigoda, the veteran actor who was in "The Godfather" and who gained fame as the laid-back cop Phil K. Fish in "Barney Miller" died today at the age of 94.

Paul Kantner, the lead guitarist and co-founder of Jefferson Airplane (which later became Jefferson Starship and then Starship) passed away today at the age of 74.

George Gaynes has passed away at the age of 98. This is still one of the funniest scenes of all time.
