Two TV legends pass inside a week: Tom Bosley, who gained fame playing Howard Cunningham on Happy Days as well as the title character in the Father Dowling Mysteries, has died of lung cancer at the age of 83. If you go on IMDb, you can find personal tributes to him from Ron Howard, Henry Winkler and Scott Baio.

Speaking as someone who grew up watching Happy Days, I'll always remember him fondly.

Actress Lisa Blount has passed away at the age of 53.

You may remember her as Debra Winger's temptress friend Lynette in An Officer and a Gentlemen, the one who seduced David Keith and then dumped him later, causing him to commit suicide. She also appeared in movies such as Prince of Darkness, Great Balls of Fire and Needful Things, as well as the short-lived TV show Profit (1996-97).

That's too bad, she was a hottie back then.

Cause of death is not known at this time.

The one time she really made an impression on me was in Tom DiCillo's Box of Moonlight. Blount was beautiful in this quirky comedy. Too bad.

Damn. Damn Damn.

Mimi Du Jour: "Is this some kind of bust?"
Frank Drebin: "Yes, ma'am, it's very impressive, but we need to ask you a few questions."

Master of comedy, I can watch Police Squad over and over.

I kind of thought he would be the oldest man on the planet before he went. He just seemed ageless.

A shame. He was always a source of joy when I was a kid, but I'm sure The Police Squad series still stands the test of time.
