Re: The Obituary Thread
The fact that he was not only able to hide his diagnosis from the public, but continue steadily working while going through something like that is remarkable. That takes a level of heart, dedication and perseverance that most people just don't have.
As for his acting, he was an absolute force of nature. While Black Panther, Get on Up and 42 are going to be the things he's remembered most for, he was such a magnetic presence that even made disposable shit like Gods of Egypt and 21 Bridges better. To echo what six said, he had already done so much impressive work in just 7 years as a prominent actor and seemed to be on a path where multiple awards were in his future. Such a tragic and crushing loss.

Seaver faced Brock more than any other player. Brock faced Seaver more than any player.
Every once in a while I'll pull the video where Ricky Henderson breaks his base stealing record. Absolutely a top five Cardinal with Pujols, Ozzie, Gibson, and Musial.

Re: The Obituary Thread
Sean Connery has passed away at 90.
It's like what Lenin said...I am the walrus.
Re: The Obituary Thread
Well, at least he lived to a good age.
In my last job there used to be an accountant, Con, who worked on some big productions, and on a few with Connery. He said Connery was always a gent and once beat up Donald Sutherland on the set of the Great Train Robbery for being rude to the crew. On Zardoz Connery would play pool with the crew for money, and always lose. Then on the last day he played double-or-nothing and beat them all, the shark.

Re: The Obituary Thread
I had no idea Connery was such a character. The stories that have been going around today about him have been incredible.
