Toy story 3 should be the biggest movie of the year. Iron Man 2 will be second. Harry Potter 3rd but then after that, I don't see a ton of potential there. Toy Story and Iron Man will be huge, like 400 million huge. HP its standard going rate of just around 300 mil. Then after that, its tough to project any of those movies breaking the 200 barrier. Why do they think Shutter Island is going to be that big? It wasn't even projected at 100 million for its initial date. Do they think the date change doubled its value?

Just seeing Shrek in there now. Is that really coming out next year? And if it is, why wouldn't that be a 300 million dollar movie? This list is strange.

These films on the list will flop:

Beastly (see The Vampire's Assistant's numbers)
The Rum Diary (I don't see it going past the arthouses and the film currently has no US distributor)
When In Rome (Kristen Bell needs to fire her agent)
Highlander (seriously, another one?)
Jonah Hex (obscure comic book character + Megan Fox in a lead + release date that doesn't suit the niche appeal = major flop)
Daybreakers (I don't think the directors learned anything after the self-funded abomination that was Undead eight years ago)
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid (I seriously don't know what this film is supposed to be and with Fox distributing, I probably won't)
Gulliver's Travels (this film will be the final nail in the coffin for Jack Black)
Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Who? And what? Didn't Fox learn their lesson from the failures of Eragon and The Seeker when it comes to adapting lesser-known fantasy novels.)

Meanwhile, I will add these films as possibilities to be successful:

Dear John
Valentine's Day
The Crazies
The Bounty Hunter
A Nightmare On Elm Street
Footloose
Knight and Day
Meet The Little Focker (aka Untitled Meet The Fockers Sequel)
The Other Guys
Friday the 13th Part 2 in 3-D
The Zookeeper
The Prisoners
Due Date

And A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas is dead. No Kal Penn, no movie.

Is this just based on BO numbers? If so I do not see Expendables beating Shrek, Sex and City, Alice in Wonderland, etc.

I also find this list really weird. What do they mean by biggest? obviously not money-wise, because there is no way that expendables or shutter island make more than toy story 3 and eclipse. I'm pretty sure Nanny Mcphee 2 wont make more than Prince of Persia. or maybe that is what they mean... um everyones entitled to their opinions right?

I'm assuming "Most Anticipated"...
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

No way is this a list of what will be the biggest box office numbers. Harold and Kumar? I think not. And I'm more than certain that Clash Of The Titans will finish much higher than 48th.

Mark my words: Clash Of The Titans will double Jonah Hex's numbers.

I agree, I'm seeing 300 numbers for it. Mix old fan nostalgia with new special fx and you have a big audience. I didn't put in on my full year draft for nothing.

Actually, I would say about $140 million on Clash Of The Titans (which will likely move to June) while Jonah Hex grosses $60 million (while also moving to a date in August or the fall).

Could you blatantly hate Megan Fox any more?
