Top 30 Films of the 80's

Starting 2 weeks from today on the 18th, we'll be counting down our top 30 films from the 1980's in honor of Patrick. Let me know if you want to partake ASAP (If I'm not mistaking, six, John and I are the only confirmed participants as of now). When you've complied your list or parts of your list, send it to me at kfcman945@yahoo.com. This should be a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing everybody's picks.

I'd love to do it but I'm not sure I'll have the time to do it. I'm 7 weeks away from my festival, September and October are the two months of the year I have almost no time outside of work and the festival. I'm afraid if I do it, it will be a list I'll come up with too hastily and forget many films and I won't have time to write about most of the films and won't have time to comment on your choices. And if I do it I want to do it properly.
So I'll catch up in November and make my own list after yours and comment then.

It's #30-1 and as for the "missed the cut" titles, you can send them to me alongside your initial list and I'll post them before #30 as a way to kick things off.

I'll start sending you some picks soon, but I may not be around much for the customary banter.

My father's funeral was yesterday, so I'm responsible for sorting out his affairs and making sure my special needs sister is taken care of, so I have lot on my plate right now.

On a more positive note, I recently received a grant to produce and direct a short film I've written, so once I get the family situation under control I'll need to re-focus on that.

All in all it's a busy time, but this countdown will be a nice way to think about other things for a few minutes each day.
