You all knew this was coming. Probably one of the most one sided awards of recent memory, it swept pretty much every category it was nominated in and deservedly so.

Your Reel Society Of Film Critics Best Picture for 2020 is

PARASITE

Yeah, we all saw that coming, but the film is great, so I'm glad. I stil wished Portrait of a Lady could have had one, but Parasite is a great winner.
Thanks Surf for the show !

Yeah, Parasite winning was a layup. 'Twas a terrific film, so it's well deserved. Thanks surfer for putting this together and staying up until an unholy hour to announce the winners.

Can I take this moment before I slope off to the comfort of my bed to thank everyone once again for contributing to the ceremony, from conception with the Master List, to the nominees, ballots and Best Picture featurettes. This thing is not possible without each and every one of you. It is great that after all these years these awards keep going, the momentum is still there and our love of movies shines through.

Below I have compiled all the awards together for ease of browsing, but while I disappear for the night, I look forward to reading your thoughts on the evening proceedings in the morning.

Best Actor In A Leading Role - Joaquin Phoenix, Joker

Well I finished watching a Korean film at 1am, when I saw the ceremony was on, I thought "1am, 2am, what's the difference ?" ;)

I was tucked up in bed as the awards went on. I was wondiering what the cheering was all about.

Great to seer Parasite honoured. No surprise, given its pedigree, but it's still the best film.
Good to see Taylor Russell win some awards. She was incredible in Waves
The Lighthouse score deserves its award, although I preferred Uncut Gems
Joaquin and Pitt were preditable. I agree that Joaquin's performance is too OTT, and that Driver was better, but can't complain (much)
Not so sure about Lupita in Us. It was an okay performance in a middling film. But the weakest of the nominees in my opinion.
Little Women's script was bold and moving. Totally deserving.
Haven't seen Apollo 11 so need to check it out, especially as it's now on Netflix.

Well done Surf for compiling and posting, especially at midnight on a Sunday night!

Thanks for this surfer! Absolute champ :)

My 2 cents,
Not sure if Taylor Russell was actually that good tbh, i felt it was a weak year in her catergories.
The animated award was a weak field as well.
Im a bit sad Alita didn't get the visual effects award.
Was really unsure about the doco category, i though Hail Satan was a little stronger, since we already know what happens in Apollo 11, but that did have some amazing visuals im guessing were never seen before, being a 50 year thing.
I don't get all the fuss over Little Women, it was ok, Marriage Story was a lot better imo
Still holding off watching Parasite for a 2nd time, it blew me away in cinemas way back last June, im very glad it took home the big awards apart from 1, i thought QT deserved best director

Thanks, Surfer for putting all this together again. It can't be easy, especially when certain people send you their votes and featurettes at the last minute. *cough* *ahem* *blush*

Parasite was good, not great, but I'm fine with its victory. I haven't seen enough of the other movies to have many strong opinions but I will say Willem Dafoe wuz robbed! All Brad Pitt did was take off his shirt and spend two hours being cool, while Dafoe threw himself into a challenging role and emerged virtually unrecognizable.
