Top Grossing Non-Disney Films of 2019

Post by Screen203 »

What do you think will be the top grossing non-Disney films of 2019?

I think:

Sony: Jumanji 2/3/4 (don't know if Zathura counts)
Warner Bros.: Honestly I don't know. Maybe Joker or Detective Pikachu?
Paramount Pictures: Pet Sematary
Universal Pictures: Secret Life of Pets 2 or Us
It's not destroying. It's making something new.

you're probably right on sony and universal (Pets though, not Us).

Warner Bros will be IT 2.

and who knows about Paramount, Rocketman maybe.

Man, whoever it was at paramount that let go of Marvel must be kicking themselves.

There was an article (on Variety, I think?) recently that went over how bad things were at Paramount under Brad Grey. I didn't read it but I'm sure they went into detail over letting Marvel go.

And they aren't the only ones. Warner Bros. could have had both Marvel and DC in the early 2000's as Iron Man and Captain America began development at New Line and the Blade series was still going. Meanwhile, Lionsgate had an exclusive development deal in the mid 2000's that was supposed to result in a number of films but only the two Punisher movies and Man-Thing ever got made.

And going back to the 1980's, Cannon was going to make Spider-Man. Then Superman IV came out.
It's like what Lenin said...I am the walrus.
