Wow, there's only 16 films on the Master List that I haven't seen and about half of them are foreign films that haven't been released in my area and/or were completely off my radar. It feels good to be in the loop for once.

Wow, I've only seen 4 movies on this list Rough year for me getting out, or even watching at home. I may have to cheer things on from afar this year, unless I plow through a lot more in a short amount of time.

I've seen 6, but lots more on there that i really want to see... and ummm.... someone nominated Ghostbusters? definitely not as bad as the media made it out to be, but if that was one of the best of 2016, it really was a lackluster year.

Ha! That was me! I really enjoyed it, and this comes from someone who grew up on the original Ghostbusters and loves it with my entire heart. I just felt the new take actually pulled off what I thought would be impossible, and while it's certainly not perfect, I've watched it three times already and will be buying it on DVD as I feel it's got great rewatchability (not a word, I know!). I felt it deserved to be on the Master List for the reason alone that it needs to be seen just for Kate McKinnon's performance. As well as some very good CGI. But yeah, my absolute fave's of the year had already been added to the list, so when dropping down a mark, I found Ghostbusters fell quite high in my rankings of 2016.
