Can we go TV?
Absolutely

Looks like The Help is a clear winner for Octavia Spencer, i agree with that, but ill wait another day before tallying votes

For the others ill say

Stuhlbarg: Boardwalk Empire (i saw A Serious Man afterwards)

Hawkins: The Shape of Water

Michael "dont make me smile" Shannon: Boardwalk Empire (overlooked Take Shelter)

on that note, theres a number of actors who broke out in Boardwalk Empire, initially upon seeing it only watched the first few episodes, then a year or so later steamrolled the rest of the show, its probably sitting somewhere in my fav 20 shows of all time now.
The other actors are: Kelly Mcdonald, Shea Whigham, Paul Sparks, Jack Huston, Michael Pitt, Charlie Cox, Ben Rosenfield and Bobby Cannavale

On Macdonald: You never saw Trainspotting, Ron? That was a breakout role for pretty much all its leads (especially Ewan McGregor).

Jack Huston's character in Boardwalk Empire is one of my favorites in all of TV. So is Stuhlbarg's Arthur Rothstein. I'd watch a series revolving around either one of those characters.

Chalky White, Mickey Doyle, Capone as well. The secondary characters are what really sell the show. At most points of the show I could take or leave the Darmodys/Thompsons/Schroders.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

Offcourse ive seen Trainspotting!?

But i didn't notice Mcdonald until i re-watched it last year to be honest. Its more a breakout for those in the gang, Robert Carlyle, Johnny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Ewan Bremner and Ewan McGregor.

I actually didn't like Jack Huston's character in Boardwalk, i wanted to see him go nuts but he was always so subdued. I liked Shea Whigham's, Michael Kenneth Williams' and Michael Shannon's characters more.

Winners
Stuhlbarg: (tie) A Serious Man & Boardwalk Empire (with 2 votes)

Shannon: Boardwalk Empire (2 votes)

Hawkins: (tie) The Shape of Water & Happy-Go-Lucky (2 votes)

Spencer: The Help (4 votes)

Next up:

James Franco and Dave Franco

James: Spider-Man
Dave: has it happened yet? Dave only has a career due to his creepy brother.
