This week is going to be an absolute bitch. Coco is a lock to provide a shitty return on its $390 price tag and every other movie isn't going to make more than $6-7 mil.

Drops usually stabilize after the post-Thanksgiving weekend. Coco should be good for $15-18 million (maybe even $20 million, as the Frozen short is getting removed from all prints and theatres are expected to add another matinee) while Justice League and Wonder should be good for $7-9 million.

Just Getting Started will be lucky to hit $5 million despite its leads (had another company picked this up, it could have done $8-10 million before word of mouth sets in*) while The Disaster Artist was frontloaded last weekend, which could lead to a weak expansion. I'll say between $3-4 million before Star Wars takes out everything.

*- No reviews in yet and the final run time is just over 90 minutes (Ron Shelton's previous films have been much longer). Rarely a good sign.

I am SOOOOO BAD at this game. I never understand how between 300-1000 players seem to predict the optimum lineup EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Just how many players play this game anyway?

Anyway, I'm going with Coco x2, Shape of Water x6 this week.

I'll be surprised if The Shape of Water expands to more than Los Angeles (the previous weekend was New York only) this weekend. Fox seems to be expanding slowly on it.

I'll be doing a Coco/Wonder/Lady Bird combo this weekend. All should hold well.

As for the perfect weekend, I think a lot of it is luck and finding what's undervalued. One week, something like seven of us here had a perfect lineup when we saw how undervalued Baby Driver was. Funny thing is that weekend when I won the $100 gift card, no one had a perfect lineup and only seven had the next best lineup.

Shape of Water is reportedly expanding to almost 50 theaters this weekend.

Come on Warner Bros. estimates. I want official credit for my win (even though I had two Father Figures, I had three Darkest Hours).

This week is going to be a bit trickier as a number of films will certainly increase from last weekend. I'm building around Pitch Perfect 3 and All the Money in the World for cost reasons (this is despite the B Cinemascore on the latter).

There's no way to sort these, no titles you can control+F, and they are completely in random order, right?

I may not even fill it out.

There are no pre-February movies on there. Maybe they're changing the rules? Maybe they aren't added yet?

It says the season starts the first weekend of February, so no Maze Runner.

I can't even pick anything. And why are the films in random order? Last time, it was by date.

Normally you can add films from before the season and they count what it makes only during the season.

Congrats to Banks for this season's win. I got my 4th weekly win this past weekend, but it wasn't enough to grab the lead, my wins were too narrow.
This was a particularly disputed season, with no one taking a clear edge on everyone, and the suspense was in til the very end.
