I love Samuel, but I have to go with Neeson here, even though there's still a little residual hate for both for even taking part in the Star Wars prequels.

And definitely Penn. Though Jon is a good director, he can't hold Sean's lunch as an actor.

Neeson and Penn win by wide margins, though i believe it should have been closer.

Gotta go with Mendes. I know Kidman's done a few good movies lately but I haven't seen any of them, and Garner hasn't been relevant in a long time.

I will start the ball rolling with a new one as well. Chien will like this one.

Hahaha, I love you Shryke.
Out of the trio, I'll take Kidman without hesitation. I liked Mendes in We Own the Night, but other than that, I can't remember anything truly memorable from her. I'll pick Kidman if only just for Eyes Wide Shut.

As for the French confrontation, well, I don't need time to think about it either. It's Eva Green, all the way. The girl is near the very top of my list of cinematographic fantasies. I would watch her in anything, she is absolutely stunning. Alright I'm saying perfectly knowing it's not a beauty contest, but I choose her too for the acting. She gave flesh to a Bond girl like very few actresses had ever done.

I personally feel Green has become typecast in recent years, only seeming to play roles that are heavy in sluttiness. As we've seen in the past, this is Hollywood's way of saying that they aren't willing to give European actress decent roles (remember Monica Bellucci?).

Ill go with Kidman as well, she hasn't done much lately but she has another level on Mendes. Garner is pretty good sometimes, but ive never really liked her movies.

And as for the other one, i think Laurent is just slightly better (acting wise) than Green, so ill go with Melanie. But if i had the choice to go to bed with one of them, Green no hesitation :D

Kidman, easily. I never liked Garner, and while Mendes is easy on the eyes, she's never done anything remotely close to Kidman at her best, ie. To Die For.

And Eva Green wins easily since I have no clue who Melanie Laurent is. Apparently she was the theatre owner or whatever in Inglorious Basterds, but she obviously didn't make much of an impression on me, and neither did the movie.

Well Mélanie Laurent was more or less the lead in Inglorious Basterds. Shoshanna or whatever her name was, whose family is killed in the farm in the opening scene of the film.
And she's the female lead also in Enemy with Jake Gyllenhaal. And she was the FBI detective chasing the magicians in "Now you see me".

Mendes and Laurent. Kidman has had too many awful performances, I can't think of anything I liked Garner in, and I liked Laurent in Beginners (I do like Eva Green, but she's not really doing anything interesting as of late).

interesting results so far, and we still need a couple of regulars to chip in. As both current choices are tied

Kidman 3 and Mendes 3, while Garner has a single vote

and

Green 3 and Laurent 3

So nothing conclusive yet. We need one or more of Geezer, SS, Banks or anyone else to break that tie!

Until then:

Murphy simply because his pre-2000's filmography is extremely impressive for the most part.

Williams. In his prime, he was the more versatile actor.

I didn't vote for the one I started, so I'll do it now. I'll go with Laurent to break the tie.

And I'll go with Williams.
