BOLD ASS PREDICTIONS - FEBRUARY - APRIL

Post by silversurfer19 »

Haven't played this in a while so I'll have a go. I'm gonna go BOLD!

1. Just for Boushh, Divergent to make $300m.
2. Grand Budapest Hotel wins the PTA season with at least 20 PTA points.
3. The Monuments Men fails to hit $60m.
4. Transcendence doesn't even hit $30m in its two weekends of release.
5. Mr. Peabody And Sherman gain the most top 5s during the season.

And for the Oscars, 12 Years A Slave to win at least five awards.

Calling Captain America the highest grossing film of this time frame isn't that bold. It is expected to be. How about a number?

Tranny your 300 number has been out-bolded.

Six your ABT and Noah numbers have been out-bolded.

Here's some to add to the pile:

Need for Speed fails to gross $45 million.
300: Rise of an Empire hits $150 million (Shryke you have been out-bolded).
RoboCop makes at least $80 million.
About Last Night nabs at least 20 Top 5 points.
Draft Day fails to break $40 million.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude

It's the other way around that would be a bold prediction. Neither of the last 2 Lars Von Trier films, Melancholia and Antichrist, grabbed 10 PTA points either, so it would indeed be a miracle that those ones do. If I may say so ;)

Both parts are going to get at least 15-25 theatres opening weekend (I know St. Louis is getting them day-and-date with the larger markets) so I'd be surprised if there was a $10,000 PTA opening weekend. Also, Part I will drop hard once Part II opens.
