Re: What Are You Watching Right Now? Episode 3 - Turtles in Time
I'm going to be co-hosting some Friday night watch parties. If anyone is interested, I can direct you to the Facebook event page and I will post the watch party link ten minutes before showtime. Netflix Party requires a Chrome extension while Amazon Watch Party can be used with any browser. A VPN might be required in some countries (I know Amazon Watch Party is geo-locked).

Re: What Are You Watching Right Now? Episode 3 - Turtles in Time
Slowed down a bit in July:
Carrie Pilby (2016) - 6/10
Hamilton (2020) - 10/10 (wow wow wow)
Attack The Block (2011) - 6/10
Palm Springs (2020) - 5/10
Ali (2001) - 7/10
The Old Guard (2020) - 6/10
Guns Akimbo (2019) - 2/10
Public Enemies (2009) - 7/10
The Foreigner (2017) - 8/10
A lot of meh last month, exceptions being my favorite "movie" of the year and an unexpected IRA drama snuck inside a Jackie Chan movie.

I find it odd that IMDb considers Hamilton a movie but won't consider concert films or documentaries such. It's basically the former.

Are you still planning on having the Watch Party tomorrow? If so, what time are you planning to have it?

Okay, here's how I'll do it. Be here at 7:50 pm CT and I will post a Netflix Party link. But because I'll have other people signing on, you may or may not be able to enter.

Re: What Are You Watching Right Now? Episode 3 - Turtles in Time
During my recent string of moviewatching, I came to a realization: why did I force myself to ever like Moulin Rouge? I watched this one again and it might be a strong contender for the worst Best Picture nominee of the 2000's, if not ever. Insanely anachronistic, cliched as hell, and with a plot that is as trite as it is ridiculous, I must wonder if 2001 was a bad year for the film as this got so many Oscar nominations.
Oh, and I found out it was the favorite movie of my university when I had to do a project for a class (the teacher later tried to discredit my findings by claiming I only asked a small section despite having proof that I didn't).
