I deleted the thread out of anger. I felt that since I started the whole mess, that the only way to fix it was to delete the thread.

I was telling some of the members that they weren't adventurous enough with their film choices and that I was sick of awards season. I said some nasty words, everyone said some nasty words and things become chaotic. I thought that the only way to solve the problem was to pretend nothing ever happened.

That's crazy. I don't even know what to say since this all happened while I was offline. But clearly deleting the thread out of anger wasn't the thing to do. The thing to do was more probably to apologize and realize this is supposed to be a friendly community where debate and divergent opinions and views on films are welcome. If we all felt the same about films, this community probably wouldn't have survived all those years. This community exists because we're from different places with different tastes and with one common trait, our love for cinema. Clashing is sane, passion is (most of the times, haha) sane, so there's no need to take things personally.

Are you fucking kidding me? YOU deleted the thread that we all worked on, in one way or the other. We all voted, and SS collected all them and did the legwork to figure out the nominees, and just because YOU got mad, all that is gone now.

I've been trying to have them revoked for a while now. I haven't wanted to be a moderator for a while now.

Lately, I've come to realize that our community is somewhat dying. A lot of interesting voices (Donte, Frendo, Lilly) are gone and it has simply become us blowhards. Maybe we should just call it quits.

It's true that it's just been us core crew for a while now. Rather than call it quits and dump something we've spent years on, I wonder is there any way we can introduce new blood to these forums.

Perhaps drop info on it on major forums like IMDB, Rotton Tomatoes, HSX (though I remember seeing some dismissive remarks about this game being made there), etc, to see if anyone wants to join. Surely it's better than just giving up?
