I'm going to get my ballot in on time. I think.

But I probably shouldn't have offered to write the featurette for Safety Not Guaranteed. Arg. Sorry, guys. If I can, I will. But my (real life) work looks like it'll be pretty unrelenting until 6pm PST.

Only a few hours before the awards ceremony. Hopefully there will be some online for it, but even so, I'm still waiting on Featurettes from:

BanksIsDaFuture – The Avengers
numbersix – Silver Linings Playbook
transformers – Django Unchained
Shrykespeare - Argo

I have prepared a Featurette for Safety Not Guaranteed in place of NSpan in case he cannot provide his, please let me know if any of you cannot achieve your own.

I just have to go on record, before our awards and the oscars, that if Argo wins everything i'll be disappointed, it was a good movie, but not great. it felt very self congratulatory at the end.

And I'll go on record to say that if Argo wins everything, I'll be pleased as all hell because its one of the greatest movies I've ever had the pleasure to see.

I trust everyone got their votes in on time? Show goes on in a couple hours correct?

About to kick off right now, actually, and all votes eventually came in, so we have a full house. Didn't get all the featurettes so I'll have to improvise, but here goes...

Well for one, the story is infinitely compelling, and the execution was better than I ever could have imagined. The way they built the time period is excellent. The direction is brilliant and the acting is incredible all around. The tension built throughout the film that culminates by the end was so intense that I couldn't breathe. It's entertaining, thought-provoking, educational and well made all at the same time. Add in a dash of humor, and it's an all around perfect movie, in my eyes.

Geezer wrote:Also, if anyone is looking to catch up and wants a site where you can stream a lot of these movies (I know, its illegal and wrong, but its for the good of the cause, right?) check out http://www.movie2k.to/. From what I've checked out so far, pretty good quality and expansive library.
Movie2k domain was seized and the site has resurfaced as movie4k..other notable sites where you could find lots of free movies..
