Vengance Trilogy

Post by becs »

I'm not sure where to put this, but for those who have access Netflix has just added all three of the Chan-wook Park trilogy (Mr. Vengance, Oldboy, and Lady Vengance) to their instant list. I have yet to decide if I have the stomach to watch the 2nd and 3rd films myself, but I am certain they are worth a look for those able to.

Definitely worth a look. Oldboy is one of the best films of the last decade: Korean revenge thriller meets Greek tragedy. Brilliant visual touches. Sympathy is also excellent, a wonderful look at perspectives and guilt. Lady Vengeance is the weakest of the three, overlong and messy. But again it has great visuals.

Nice update Becs. I haven't seen the next two in the Trilogy but have been meaning to do so.
