Sold it to a friend for what I paid for it. There's another, but they want $16.99 - 20%. With shipping you may as well buy it new. Also McCabe and Mrs Miller, Dr. Strangelove, The Executioner were $17. The Game was $12. All had an extra 20% off. Also had some 4Ks for $8-15. Not sure if it applies.

Also got 4 GoT Funko Pops and a Gus Fring one for $5 apiece there.

More Criterions:

Squid and the Whale $3.99
The Game $7.19
Seven Samurai $13.59

I already have all three. Excellent trade bait.

I'm wondering if used stores are confusing the Criterion Squid and the Whale with the previous Mill Creek release? Because that's the only way I could see that title being priced so low.

And is your Gus the one with half his face? Variants like that can be fun sometimes (headless Ned Stark goes for hundreds of dollars in the secondary market).

Nope. Regular Gus. When I bought it, I told the clerk I wished he had half a face not knowing it was a variant until later.

I'm sure that's what's happening with Squid. It was the same store both times. The first time the clerk was wondering why a Criterion was priced so low. I'd have been happy getting it for $7 ish like The Game. They had others priced at $17, but I may as well wait for the B&N Sale and get them for $14-18 brand new.

Another Twilight Time 7 for $70 bundle. 11 added titles. It's more like $80-85 though, when you include shipping.

Anyone ever use Amoeba Music's website? People in California always talk about this place but since I live far from California, I've been looking at their site (initially to see I could sell some film score CD's for a decent amount, not really was that answer) and they have some good deals on used Blu-ray's. And apparently, shipping is always free.

W, Banks, Bueller, anyone?

I believe I've been to Amoeba in LA, but I've never used their website. I lived 2 minutes from it when I lived in W Hollywood and it was a cool store, but nothing I haven't seen before in a used music/movie store.

I'll look into it, but I fear nothing will come close to the heyday of GoHastings for used movies.

So I made an Amoeba order. The site is easy to use, they tell you the condition of the used discs, and yes, the shipping was free.

Picked up four Blus (including one that's rarely cheap on Amazon and two that were always sold out in the goHastings days) for $21.96. They should arrive in four to eight days (a great estimate for free shipping).

In other news, Screen Archives has all of their MGM Twilight Time titles for sale. I thought about picking up a few but passed for the momen

First real score in a long time yesterday:
Bleed for This BD+DVD+Digital+Slip $4
Dr. Strangelove BD Digibook $4
Lost Season 4 BD $2
The Great Dictator Criterion DVD $2

I was excited for the Strangelove digi since I got like $60-70 for one a year or two ago, but since the Criterion came out the price dropped to about $20-$30. I don't need it, so it's in my trade/sell pile. We didn't have Bleed for This in digital and I was super happy that the code worked. And I was hesitant to get Lost since it gives me incentive to buy the rest of the series, which I don't need considering it's always on Netflix... But for $2?

Last week, I found the Canadian release of Luc Besson's The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc for $5.99 at a Vintage Stock near St. Louis. North American copies of that one go for a decent price.

Only picked up three Blus while there (that, Life Itself, and Predestination). My shopping time was spent on Pops (I had a bunch of Hot Cash coupons).

Found a copy of Seven samurai Criterion. All their blus were $4, but they decided this was a "box set" so I got it for $8, though they wanted $10.
