I was locked in on Minions x6, Holmes and Terminator from the moment the pricing came out and never really considered anything else.

At first glance Vacation looks like the one to stream this week. It could double up this week and I wouldn't be surprised considering what Trainwreck did and that this is an actual franchise people have fond memories of. MI5 would have to do over $80 M to do that and I don't think it has that potential. Sure the other one opened limited in IMAX, but if you add both first two weekends together it still doesn't get close. I'm considering leaving one screen open for the first time (Vacation x5, Antman, Paper Towns), but I probably won't.

I'm going heavy on Vacation as well for the time being, but that will change if it's Wednesday/Thursday numbers are underwhelming.

I didn't realize it opened Wednesday until a few minutes ago when checking FML. That may change my decision. Opening on Friday would have made $35 M more possible, but Wednesday really hurts its chances like Magic Mike, Terminator, and Entourage earlier this summer. Magic Mike especially would have had a decent weekend if it opened on Friday. It may have done even better in the three days than the five days... Condensing it into three would have lessened the impact of the bad WOM.

Depending on how much antman drops, it could be quite a bargain

I think Ant-Man should have a small drop, somewhere around $18M this weekend. Which makes 4x AntMan more attractive than 1x MI:5, at least to me. Still a risk though.

Surely Antman and MI5 share a lot of the same target audience and so I could see Antman dropping around 50%

MI5s numbers are just everywhere though, I've seen predictions as high as $75M and as low as $30M

Another tough week this week, I like this game :D ... so I decided to try a more balanced approach like I should have done last week instead of being so heavy on Minions. I'm going with 1xMI, 3xAnt, 2xMin, and 2x SP ... crossing my fingers and hoping the bonus is in there somewhere.
