Sunday Estimates

Top 5:
5 points - Wall Street 2, $19M
4 points - Legend of the Guardians, $16.3M
3 points - The Town, $16M
2 points - Easy A, $10.7M
1 point - You Again, $8.3M

Wow. LOTG manages only about 1/2 my estimate. I'm surprised.

PTA:
5 points - Waiting For Superman
4 points - You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger
3 points - Buried
2 points - Never Let Me Go
1 point - Catifsh

Documentary wins again.

So, would you guys consider Buried a bust? Only 3 PTA points, yet it has a great imdb score. I'm curious to see if it will still get a wide release.

It's set to go wide on 8th October, so with 3 PTA already in the bank and a possibility of $30m+ and maybe 3 top 5 points I think it's a decent low priced pick.

I think the box office of Legend Of The Guardians and You Again were bigger disappointments, seeing the tracking on those two.

I don't think I picked Superman on any slate. I am retarded.

I went with Buried instead of Superman. I'll ride in the back.

I don't think I picked any of this weekend's films save Guardians. I can only hope that it has semi-decent legs and reaches $50 million so it doesn't end up as a total bust.... God knows, after my horrendous July season, I don't need any more of those!

I dropped You Again from most of my lineups to take The Social Network.
