Yes I do but those movies had more of an appeal than Devil does.

Well, the midnight showings of Easy A, The Town, and Devil all had about the same amount of people so I don't know now how this weekend will fare. Maybe they all manage at least $15M openings?

This week will be good but next week will be bigger. All four wide releases could break out (even The Virginity Hit in 650 theatres).

The Town sold out 4 shows in a row last night when I went to go see Devil. I really can't wait to see it.

This time next year, Boosch, you can remind me how wrong I am about whatever adult thriller is released in September 2011 and I'll actually pay attention!

Well, you live in Massachusetts, Tranny, so that's really not that surprising. I doubt it will be as well received on my end of the country.

I knew it would it do well here but I did not expect it to do that well and I agree that it will not do as well on the West Coast.

Friday Estimates:

The Town, $8.38M
Easy A, $6.8M
Devil, $4.93M
Resident Evil, $3M
Alpha & Omega, $2.3M
Takers, $925K (now over $50 million!)

Another note... as of yesterday, The Expendables is now over $100 million. Wasn't sure if it would get there, but glad it did.

For next week, I expect a good hold for The Town (only film in its market until November) and bad holds for everything else (Easy A and Alpha and Omega due to competition and Devil since it's horror).

Sunday Estimates

Top 5:
5 points - The Town, $23.8M
4 points - Easy A, $18.2M
3 points - Devil, $12.6M
2 points - Resident Evil: Afterlife, $10.1M (down 62%)
1 point - Alpha and Omega, $9.2M

So my predictions were for the most part wrong, but this was a very hard weekend to call.

PTA:
5 points - Never Let Me Go, $30,250
4 points - Catfish, $21,250
3 points - The Town, $8,319
2 points - Jack Goes Boating, $7,500
1 point - Easy A, $6,373

No word yet on The Wild Hunt, not that I expect there to be any (and not that I think anyone took it in the first place).
