It seems like hardcore fans of the FNaF games are loving this movie, though it doesn't have much appeal outside the fanbase. Having seen it (on Peacock), it's so tame and non-frightening that even many 8-10 year olds probably won't be scared that much.

Five Nights at Freddy's made $39.5 million opening day, the biggest opening day for any movie since Barbie.

Disappointing legs for Flower Moon thus far, I liked the film overall but it needed an edit. Even a 75-80% drop for Freddy's will probably keep it at #1 next weekend.

A lot of the big openers lately have dropped at least 60% in their second weekends. Nothing alarming there. I think it's just the length and Five Nights at Freddy's getting so many screens led there to not being as many showings in the second week for Killers of the Flower Moon.

I'd expect smaller drops in the next few weeks holding it on until Thanksgiving.
