I was just looking at Gosling's IMDB page yesterday. I like him a lot, and I was surprised to see how few "hits" he's had. There are a number of actors that I always seem to enjoy, and are doing plenty well I'm sure, but rarely have that crazy breakout role. I'm thinking Joseph Gordon Leavitt. Diego Luna. I felt that way about Michael B Jordan and then Creed and Black Panther seemed to skyrocket his Q rating. I don't know how much Barbie will elevate Ryan's status, but it's nice to see a guy I've always enjoyed on the screen have a monster hit. Even if he is only Ken :)

thats absolutely wild for Barbie!

I tried to go on Saturday and Sunday, but all of the showings were sold out. I wonder how high it could've gone if it didn't have to give a lot of screens to Oppenheimer

Just incredible, and heartening to see so many cinemas full. One of London's city cinemas are showing Oppenheimer (IMAX) at 4am to meet demand.

And Barbie's outselling it here!
