If someone asked me to, and gave me a lot of booze, I'd definitely hate-watch. It could be the new The Room.

Re: Walleye's Weekly Winners - 11/22
There's a ton of stuff coming out at the holidays that are must-sees for me (Star Wars, Uncut Gems, Bombshell), so there's a chance I might not get to it, but I'm definitely intending to be apart of that crowd. It just looks so damn absurd and hilarious, and I want to be able to say that I saw such a beautiful trainwreck on the big screen.Walleye413 wrote:I don't think this will help a ton financially, but I"m curious how many people are going to hate-watch it. It's become such a punching bag, there's got to be people who are going to go just to laugh at it.

I'm still trying to figure out who the audience is for Bombshell and why Lionsgate picked it up when it feels like a film for a fringe indie label.
It wouldn't surprise me to see this end up making Welcome to Marwen-level numbers.

It's obviously the same audience who made Late Night the success... oh, wait...Buscemi2 wrote:I'm still trying to figure out who the audience is for Bombshell

I'm 100% using my theater subscription to laugh at Cats in theater.

Interesting that they view Ford v. Ferrari having better Saturday and Sundays than A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. If so, a disappointing start for the latter, considering the reviews it's been getting.

Ford V Ferrari is actually doing better at the theaters around me than Beautiful Day.Buscemi2 wrote:Interesting that they view Ford v. It's not destroying. It's making something new.

$14M for Mr. Rogers is downright bad. I know it'll hope to have legs throughout the holidays and December, but jeez.

Re: Walleye's Weekly Winners - 11/22
It's gonna take huge legs for Beautiful Day to live up to our expectations for it. I really thought it would open higher than that.

Yeah, even if it had a 4x multiple, you're still looking at $56m. Bomb of the season, perhaps. Guess Ford V Ferrari took the older male audience and Frozen 2 took its female audience
