Glad I was right about Wind River. I thought about dumping it after reading its history here.

Weekend Actuals

Top 10:

4 points - Dunkirk, $17.1M
3 points - The Emoji Movie, $12.0M
2 points - Girls Trip, $11.4M
1 point - Kidnap, $10.0M
Spider-Man: Homecoming, $8.8M (will hit $300M this week)
Atomic Blonde, $8.2M

Despicable Me 3, $5.4M

11. Baby Driver, $2.6M (will hit $100M this week)
13. Wonder Woman, $2.3M (will hit $400M this week)

Well, if I had to make a list of all the film I thought would hit $100M this summer, Baby Driver and Girls Trip would not have been among them. Wow. WW outgrossing GOTG2 was less of a stretch, but still...

PTA:
5 points - Wind River, $40,390
4 points - Menashe, $7,726
3 points - The Dark Tower, $5,550
2 points - An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, $5,340
1 point - Step, $5,036

How about that. Lycan didn't report. Didn't even earn a User Rating. Goodbye, Parade Deck.

I had Girls Trip making $90 million. But I wasn't expecting the A+ Cinemascore.

And something tells me that Detroit's going to lose some theatres on Friday. Nearly every theatre here's dropping it to one or two shows a day. Maybe Annapurna will learn why zoning restrictions exist (if you didn't have them, every theatre would be playing the same movies and it would give us a reason to same home and watch Netflix).
