Go Me Before You! I bet it's a lot closer to X-men when the actuals are announced.

Damn, the hold on The Nice Guys isn't great.

And that's another slow start from another summer sequel. I can't help but savour the fact that sequel disappoints. Maybe Hollywood will give slightly more chances to original films with ambition.

Don't hold your breath, Chien.

Weekend Estimates

Top 10:
5 points - TMNT: Out of the Shadows, $35.2M
4 points - X-Men: Apocalypse, $22.3M
3 points - Me Before You, $18.3M
2 points - Alice Through the Looking Glass, $10.7M
1 point - The Angry Birds Movie, $9.8M
Captain America: Civil War, $7.6M
Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, $4.7M
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, $4.6M
The Jungle Book, $4.2M
The Nice Guys, $3.5M

So, if I had to project, X-Men will top out at around $170M, Angry Birds at about $110, and Alice will hard-pressed to crack $75. Cap should barely crack $400, which is pretty much as expected.

PTA:
5 points - TMNT
4 points - Me Before You
3 points - X-Men: Apocalypse
2 points - Maggie's Plan
1 point - Weiner
Happy 60th birthday Jet Li! (4/26/23)
