With those numbers it will be very interesting to see where it ends up finishing. It's a similar opening to Ted which went on to gross almost $220m, though the competition, at least in terms of quantity of releases, must be acknowledged. The only movies that opposed it over the following weekends (not including animated kids films like Ice Age) were The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises, and pretty much nothing in the way of comedies, while Neighbors has Godzilla, X-Men, Blended, Maleficent, Edge Of Tomorrow, 22 Jump Street, Think Like A Man and Transformers all opening within the next couple of months which will surely dampen it's theatre count. Should still be good for a very high gross at least, and a lot higher than the $130m predicted. Glad I took it on almost every league.

Yeah, I don't think it'll reach Ted-like cumulative numbers, but $150M+ is a sure thing.

X-Men and Godzilla will do some damage, and of course 22 Jump St.

I don't think 22 Jump Street is going to have much effect on Neighbors. It's over a month later. If it affects it, it'll be in the fifth weekend and couldn't take more than $5 M away. If Million Ways opens well, it could do much more to it, though... Even if it doesn't open well, the "shiny new effect" will do something.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.
