I do think that Lego is on pace to do better than Captain America probably will. The film's on fire at the BO.

Weekend Estimates

FINALLY, Frozen exits the Top 5.

Top 10:
5 points - The LEGO Movie, $48.8M (-29.3%)
4 points - About Last Night, $27M
3 points - RoboCop, $21.5M
2 points - The Monuments Men, $15M
1 point - Endless Love, $13.4M
Ride Along, $8.8M
Winter's Tale, $7.8M
Frozen, $5.8M
Lone Survivor, $4.1M
That Awkward Moment, $3.3M

PTA (all):
5 points - The LEGO Movie
4 points - About Last Night
3 points - RoboCop
2 points - The Last of the Unjust
1 point - The Monuments Men

Gloria and Tim's Vermeer didn't quite make it this time. No word yet for Girl on a Bicycle.

Interesting that The Last of the Unjust's PTA increased by a factor of three from last weekend. Wonder how that happened.

I'd say it'sz because of two factors : first is because it lost half its screens. The second is the runtime of the film. Almost 4 hours long, the film is hard to see, without many showings, so it's a film that has a strong staying potential. Since most people who wanted to see it couldn't because of its runtine on opening weekend, the fact it lost half of its screens make the ones remaining easier to fill.

Much better numbers for Robocop in comparison to About Last Night. Thought there was going to be a big gap initially. Should make in the region of $25m for the 4 day weekend. I can deal with that.

Yeah, I was very surprised by that. It had a great Valentine's Day, perhaps the deals made was to watch a Kevin Hart double bill! But even then the rest of the weekend was also pretty strong. Robocop is also looking a lot stronger. While About Last Night had a huge Friday, it's been quickly dropping ever since, allowing Robocop to benefit and taking 2nd place from Saturday to Monday. $30m after its slow start? I'll take that.

Yeah Ride ALong keeps on surprising. It's already over $115M, and should have a little more steam in its engine. That's impressive. Before its release I thought the best case scenario would be 85/90M.
