Spring Breakers made 100K in 3 theatres on Friday. That's a one-day PTA of 33,000, and it's 3-day should be 60K or beyond.

Holy shit. Didn't see that coming. Is Harmony Korine really that big on the indie circuit, or was it just the allure of T&A, you think?

Legitimate arthouse T&A, it could only be a PTA champ on opening weekend.

$10M, damn, that's harsh.
Disappointed about Reality's PTA too.

Wow on the Spring Breakers PTA. That makes it #22 in terms of all time PTA opening weekends. It's higher than both Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty (though they opened in more theatres). I think this film will play relatively well, and could even end up with a cume in the mid teens.

I knew that French cinephiles weren't the only ones craving for a Harmony Korine film with girls in bikinis. I knew it ;)
