I'm so pissed at myself for not being able to pull the trigger on Identity Thief. My gut was telling me that it was the only adult comedy on the schedule so it had a key audience all to itself. But, my brain was telling me, "Remember The Change-up?!" As usual, I let my brain rule. I could have had a strong lead in the Jan. Ultimate leagues if I'd just listened to my gut.

Now, I'm thinking that the teaming of Melissa McCarthy (who cant' seem to lose) and Sandra Bullock (who is very well liked by the masses) is pure gold, right? Watch it bomb.

I love Sandra, but she ends her hiatus with this? She'd have been better off playing Gracie Hart again rather than just a carbon copy of her.

Anyway, who knows. McCarthy is one to bet on right now, it seems.

It just looked SOOOO BAD. I don't know how people actually can watch a trailer for Identity Thief and want to sit through an additional 2 hours of that garbage.

I agree with you, Geez. It looked awful. It's not my taste, either. But you have to admit that lowbrow, or what I call grunge humor, sells well. My taste is eccentric at best. Give me O Brother, Where Art Thou? (really any Coen Brothers comedy), Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Real Genius to name a few. Not exactly a list of box office winners.

What a stumble for Die Hard. It really wasn't worth it.

I totally F'd all my slates up w/ Die Hard...I'm so pissed. What a pile of shit.

On a side note, in the Bold Ass Predictions thread I predicted that Die Hard wouldn't even make it to 80M total...and then I went and put it on all my slates...I'm a moron.

Kai Po Che should come in at $522,765 for a $4,752 PTA. So looks like 2 PTA points.
