With the reported $55 million budget, the current box office to budget ratio for The Oogieloves stands at 0.00109%.

Hardly saying it's going to break out, but come on guys, did anyone seriously believe a Wednesday opening for a pre-school movie was going to be the first choice for viewing? It will absolutely be the weekend when the parents are off work to take their kids to see it.

Quite likely. Babysitters (remembering most parents who work put their kids in daycare so probably not that many there) or parents without jobs will be the only ones capable of taking the kids; they can hardly take themselves at that age. I have no doubt the movie will probably bomb, but at the same time it will certainly improve on those figures considerably at the weekend when parents can take their kids.

Yeah, it could easily rise to a PTA of $80 per day ;)

And I'll be counting every penny if it helps me succeed in the quarterly draft league!

At this point, my PTA prediction of slight below $600 looks like a positive one.

Actually, the PTA was $47, not $40, according to BOM. Don't sell it short, Boosh.

Is $7 really that big of a deal? A flop's a flop, especially one that the financier claimed a $55 million budget and a $40 million marketing budget (with a sequel in the works) on.

Summit is playing the yoyo with The Cold Light of Day. I'll still be staying away from it.
