That one is decent. Still certainly wouldn't call it worse than this one. The Roommate made more than any movie this weekend, and won its own weekend, making it a not so terrible pick. It also made a nice profit as it was very cheap to produce. This weekend has been just the complete package of shit.

I don't know if this is a worse weekend than our current one, but Oct 19, 2007 was pretty terrible. 30 Days of Night won the weekend with $15, but none of the other 7 (SEVEN) new wide releases made over $6M. That includes one of the many Halle Berry flops in Things We Lost In The Fire.

I remember that weekend. I think I saw all but one or two of those movies in the theatre (yes, even Sarah Landon and the Paranormal Hour and the godawful Ten Commandments cartoon).

And I doubled up Things We Lost in The Fire with Saw IV. Things We Lost in The Fire was actually quite good (it helps that Susanne Bier* directed that one) but Saw IV was bad.

* - She also did the original Brothers, got nominated for an Oscar with After The Wedding and won an Oscar for In A Better World.
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.

I do remember that weekend and it was fucking terrible. I'd definitely say its the closest, but 30 Days of Night was still fairly successful and some people actually liked it.

I really didn't mean for this to be a challenge, I merely wanted to point out that this weekend really, REALLY sucked.
