I threw Apes on most of slates, as well as The Change-Up. At least one those was a good idea...

Sunday Estimates

Top 10:
5 points - Rise of the Planet of the Apes, $54M
4 points - The Smurfs, $21M (-41%)
3 points - Cowboys & Aliens, $15.7M (-57%)
2 points - The Change-Up, $13.5M
1 point - Captain America, $13M
Harry Potter, $12.16M
Crazy Stupid Love, $12.10M
Friends With Benefits, $4.7M
Horrible Bosses, $4.6M
Transformers, $3M

Harry Potter is now less than $2M behind Transformers. It seems clear that HP will finally beat Transformers in a summer showdown. Both should reach $350M overall.

PTA (Jun/Jul):
5 points - Rise of the Planet of the Apes
4 points - Bellflower
3 points - The Guard
2 points - Sarah's Key
1 point - The Smurfs

PTA (Aug)
5 points - Rise of the Planet of the Apes
4 points - Bellflower
3 points - Mysteries of Lisbon
2 points - The Change-Up

Magic Trip has not been reported yet.

User Ratings:

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 7.8
The Change-Up - 6.1
Mysteries of Lisbon - 7.9
Bellflower - 6.0
Magic Trip - 5.8

Shame The Whistleblower got added to BOM too late to include it in the leagues. I would probably have picked it. It would have gotten 3 PTA points (2 in the Jun/Jul leagues), and a 7.2 Rating.

This is why you shouldn't be so dependent on Box Office Mojo and use the release date thread instead. This is also why none of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo movies got included.

Well, a lot of the inner workings of the MMG game site are interdependent with the inner workings of BOM. That's just how it is set up.

Last weekend Cowboys started high and it went lower and lower. This weekend they corrected the mistake by starting Apes out low and moving it higher and higher. I'm so happy with the final results for the full year league. It makes me 3 for 3.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I am happy I took Bellflower on a lot of slates. I'll take 4 (probably more next weekend as well) PTA for $3.

Damn, my vacations abroad killed me this weekend. I had The Change Up on way too many slates.
