You'll need at least $100 million from it just to stay alive.

Right now, you are $228 million behind. Justin Bieber is tailing off and will probably finish with $10 million more, Hall Pass will probably tail off at $40-45 million (an additional $15-20 million by the time it ends) and I imagine The Adjustment Bureau will stop at $55 million (adding $34 million by the time it finishes). You will need Mars Needs Moms to do insane business to beat me and early estimates aren't good (MTC has $10 million, RS has mid teens, Box Office has $18 million).

Reviews so far:

Mars Needs Moms 60% (3/5)
Battle: Los Angeles 50% (1/2, the one positive review being a two and a half star-type review and the negative review outright trashing the film)

Red Riding Hood will not be screened to critics until tomorrow night.

Current reviews:

Mars Needs Moms 43% (6/14)
Battle: Los Angeles 37% (7/19, with most of the positive reviews coming from horror and video game websites, Roger Ebert meanwhile trashed the film)
Red Riding Hood 0% (0/7, could this pass Season of the Witch for the worst reviewed film of 2011?)

God, I hope not, since the wife is making me take her to see it. (She has a thing for any movie with vampires or werewolves in it, the Twilight films excluded.)

It's past 0%, but the reviews I haven't read aren't too good.

Dammit, I was hoping both Battle: LA and Red Riding Hood were going to be good. I'll be seeing Battle tonight and Red Riding Hood tomorrow before work.

Red Riding Hood is now down to 6% (3/53). Who wants to bet this is Catherine Hardwicke's career killer*?

*- As a director. She could always return to art direction as her work in that is usually quite good.

If you help start a billion dollar franchise and have the highest grossing female directed film ever, then you'll get a second chance somewhere.

What's that work out for weekend normally? I don't pay attention to single day data.

Saw Battle: LA at 10:40 am. The theater was PACKED. That's unusual for a show before 11:00 am on a Friday (at least at the theater that I frequent, it is).
