Walleye's Weekly Winners: The Films of 3/16

Post by Walleye413 »

Sorry gang, I'm totally slammed this week. If someone wants to do a real column my feelings will not be hurt at all. In short the big question is: Will Tomb Raider finally knock Back Panther off the top spot? Then you've got to ask: Will A Wrinkle in Time have any legs at all? Finally, Will Entebbe, Imagine, or Simon be the sleeper of the week. For my money - I'm going Simon. And Black Panther.

Top 5
Black Panther
Tomb Raider
A Wrinkle in Time
Love, Simon
I Can Only Imagine (surprise opener)

PTA
Black Panther
Tomb Raider
Love, Simon
7 days in Entebbe
I Can Only Imagine

Again - I hang my head in shame. I'll do better next time.

I expected Midnight Sun to only get 1,000 theatres. Not sure why this isn't getting dumped like that Blake Lively movie was.

I Can Only Imagine is doing excellent numbers here and I have no idea why this is doing so well. Had anyone outside of those who actually listen to Christian Rock even heard the song?

Something tells me we'll see You Raise Me Up: The Movie next spring.

About as many as saw Baltimore County beating Virginia in the first round, I'd wager.
