Nothing that high up on the collective list. There's a few with a small chance of crapping out at $80 M that have been picked though:
Oceans
Nutcracker (if Alice can this can)
Mamma Mia
Mowgli
Mortal Engines
Rampage
The Spy Who Dumped Me

And a few wildcards:
Alita
Crazy Rich Asians
A Star is Born

Seems like the only 2 surprises in this so far is how big Black Panther got and how big A Quiet Place went. That's probably top 20 by the end of the year. Other than that - pretty boring year Box Office wise.

By this weekend there will be 19 films that have made 100 million in 2018. Can anyone name them?

19 Blockbusters! Crazy!

Anyway, onto

BOX OFFICE GAME - 1ST UPDATE

In Millions:

Walleye: 4,013
Bank: 4,008
Jas: 3,973
UDM: 3,923
Numbersix: 3,908
Shryke: 3,890
Tranny: 3,890
Brockster: 3,850
Spectre: 3,850
Chien: 3,794
W: 3,790
Ron B: 3,543

Well, plenty to still hit our screens and turn things around. Some have two extra films on the current leaders.

Several have used both bench picks due to the pushed dates on films like Mulan and Dark Phoenix. Any late drop-outs will cause a major disadvantage.

Props to Walleye and Jas for picking crazy Rich Asians, which may hit $150m. Compassionate slaps on the back to UDM for having The Spy Who Dumped Me on his bench, which will fail to hit $40m.

The next big question marks are the success of A Star is Born, Venom, and The Nutcracker.

More updates in a few weeks...

I shouldn't have blindly trusted Dwayne Johnson with Skyscraper.
But we are few to have put Spiderverse on our list, and this will be a big hit for sure.

BOX OFFICE GAME - 2ND UPDATE

In Millions:

Jas: 5,353
Brockster: 5,234
Numbersix: 5,206
Tranny: 5,177
Spectre: 5,137
Banks: 5,097
Shryke: 5,073
W: 5,055
Walleye: 5,054
Chien: 5,037
Ron B: 4,922
UDM: 4,909

So we've seen the last two months turn the table around. The incredible hold of A Star is Born has helped both Brock and Jas leap to the top of the table, with the rest of us struggling to catch up. There is still a bit of challenge from those of us with fuel left in fire, namely films like Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, Bumblebee, Creed II, and...er... Holmes and Watson. However, Jas's lead may be too considerable. I'll post the final update at the end of Jan.

What sucks is that Mulan and Dark Phoenix got bumped. I struck out big time with Wrinkle and Nutcracker, and RPO just missed. (Fucking Meg.) If Mary Pop can have a great January, I might be able to finish the year having predicted 15 out of 20, which is not too shabby.

Well done to Jas! He was leading by Xmas and just didn't stop. Well played, sir. All of his films made $100m and over, making it a superb slate. And he had Mortal Engines on the bench, but it wasn't activated. Lucky for him.

And then look how close it was to 2nd and 3rd, with a difference of $40m between 2nd and 6th.

Well done everyone, and let's see how we all do in 2019. Still some time to play, for those who haven't signed up. Inclduing Jas!
