Got mine in... should've contended last round but made some mistakes at the beginning and one in the middle that stuck me with Focus so I ended up 8th. Not gonna make that same mistake again.

Thanks. And yet I still can't help but dwell on the mistakes that ended up costing me ;)

Just throwing my oar in, but I just received the pricing scheme for the new season and as Shryke mentions in the email, this is the first time we can submit pricings for all three months. Due to this, I would like to suggest a 7x multiplier for all movies in BO to ensure that the pricings are as competitive as possible. Would really push people to decide if they can fit The Avengers onto their slate.

EDIT: Also, The Vatican Tapes is listed twice, on 22nd May and 24th July.

Shryke, what's with the pic of Noomi instead of Rooney?

I actually want to draw more attention to this. I think it is something that we should discuss and establish prior to Shryke e-mailing the pricing schemes, just so everyone is on the same page. Obviously for Ultimate there are other factors, but if you establish a box office multiplier, I think it will make our pricing both easier and better for the game. It's even something we can establish for the whole year, just based on history. Just a basic template that would look something like this:

Round 1: 4x
Round 2: 5x
Round 3: 5x
Round 4: 6x
Round 5: 7x
Round 6: 6x
Round 7: 6x
Round 8: 5x
Round 9: 4x
Round 10: 6x
Round 11: 7x
Round 12: 6x

So, just to clarify, even though I've been shirking my responsibilities with the pricing panel, you are suggesting that if I thought Avengers 2 was going to do the $560 million that boxoffice.com seems to think it will do (and I do), then I would price Avengers 2 at $80 for the May box office leagues. Therefore, 7 x $80 = $560 million in boxoffice. And, if I thought Fury Road was going to do $14 million, I'd price it at $2, right? I've proven myself to be an idiot when it comes to this multiplier thing, so I'm just making sure. Thanks.

That is precisely what I'm suggesting. Though I'm NOT suggesting that you should in fact price Mad Max at $2 ;)

I priced Avengers at $80 myself.

Well, I did it. Couldn't quite bring myself to price it at $80, but I did go $77. Already can't remember what I priced it in Ultimate, but it was a fair amount less. I think $60ish. Very interested to see how it goes. The summer slates have always been the most similar in game play, with sometimes as many as a half dozen people sharing the same slate (and often the winning one), so this should shake things up a bit. That was your intent, I'm sure.

Oh, and I didn't price Fury Road at $2. I think it was closer to $5.

That is exactly the intent. There should never be a no-brainer film. Every time you add a film to your roster, you should have to ask yourself "is this film worth it?" and you shouldn't be able to answer in 3 seconds. I'm afraid that if Avengers is anything under 70, there's no way you can win without it.

I just want to remind everyone that boxofficechamps.com is starting their summer leagues. I believe we have until 3 PM tomorrow to lock in this weekend's picks. I want RS to crush those bastards, so let's all get in. Obviously there's no chance of winning without a certain movie tomorrow, so...
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.
