Twilight will destroy Avatar

Why do you think that, Geez?

Because Twilight has a humongous, ravenous, built in audience. Avatar is already having problems including negative response to the trailer, only has the James Cameron fans as an audience (which isn't nearly as large as the entire 12-25 female population), and I haven't really heard anyone getting excited for it. I'm sure it will be substantially big, but I don't see it cracking 200 million, and it might fall well short of that. I think Twilight is a sure thing for 200 million, and 250 isn't entirely out of reach.

I severly hope you dont mean that Avatar is only going to make 105mil. If it did it would be the biggest flop of all time. I cant remember any james cameron movie floping and this one wont start the trend. It wont be the biggest movie of the year but I just dont see it makine less than 200. I personally see it playing out similar to I am legend.

I think a bigger supprise is did u hear about the morgans $17?!! I would laugh if I see anyone put that film on their slate over old dogs or pricess and the frog.

The Abyss flopped when it came out. The film didn't make its budget back until it came out on video.

Meanwhile, I actually think Did You Hear About The Morgans will do better than The Princess and The Frog. Did You Hear About The Morgans is the only bonafide romantic comedy of the Christmas season. The Princess and The Frog seems to be an experiment for Disney and after the terrible final trailer, it looks like a disappointment comparable to the early 2000's failures for Disney.

the Abyss made 54mil when it came out in 1989. I wouldnt really consider that a flop considering its budget was a few million dollars more. If u add in the foreign it did fine. If Avatar makes a little less than its budget it will still make 180mil which would be only slightly less than new moon.
