Or I can hope I'm right about it and you're all screwed. ;-)

I came very close to not picking it at all. Everything about this so far feels like Nolan is taking a step away from blockbuster filmmaking, but I threw it on my bench just in case.

Fortune favours the bold.

I could have picked Interstellar just because everyone else was picking it, buy my gut told me not to. The film it's reminding me of at the moment is Danny Boyle's Sunshine, and I just don't see it being a crossover hit. $80-$100 on Nolan's name alone? Sure, but anything beyond that is a question mark based on what I've seen so far.

Thing is we haven't seen much of it so far. But my gut tells me not to bet against Nolan even if we know next to nothing of his film, although enough to see the starpower and the epic potential of it. The last time he made a film with a strong group of actors embarked on a weird journey we didn't know much of months ahead was Inception. Even the title, a single word starting with the prefix "In", reminds us of it, don't you think ? ;)
