Yeah, I mean we're bringing them traffic by participating in the website, so you should be given admin rights.

Worst comes to worst, I'd be happy to pay a little money to set up something simple for us to run.

I agree with my fellow fantaversians Geezer and Six. You're definitely due some control over at the MMG site. Let's just hope the Italians have just been too busy with the holidays to make the updates we've all been expecting, that would be perfectly alright, but that's when you most realize how we need to have a window of entry into the site.

And like Six says, if it ever were to come down to that, I spend so much time over here, it would be no problem if we had to pay a little something to get, one day if it needs to happen, our own site.

I'd be very depressed if the site went down. I'd be willing to contribute where necessary. Some admin controls for Shryke seems more than reasonable. And, to add insult to injury, we've been losing players. Used to be we'd get near 50 players at the start of the year for the super leagues. Still hoping we can get to 40, but...I think consistency and stability with a site would go far to improving this problem.

And I think we won't get that until we can get a fully functioning site that WE can control all the aspects of.

Does anyone out there know something about web design, or know someone who does? It may be time to start researching this possibility. Despite the complexity of programming something with as many moving parts and bits of data as this game, there must be some way we can get something - even in a rudimentary state - up and running that won't cost more than a car.

I'm sure there are freelance web designers out there, who would be willing to take this on, but again, they would have to be reasonably priced. I'm sure most of us would find a way to contribute $50-$100 to the cause if need be; God knows, it would sure be worth it to have a game that we control!

In the interests of full disclosure, I will cut and paste Manuela's last e-mail to me, dated 11/18.

Hi Patrick,

I hope that Mario had fixed everything in these days. I'm sorry for these delays and problems, but, as I have explained you time ago, if we didn't have the time to update we didn't have the time to efficiently build the game 2.0 and every panel for administration.

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to follow our game as I've did before: not only Mario but I, Filippo, Bebo, none of us has the time to develop the game as we would like.

However, this doesn't mean that nothing has been done.

Indeed, in this year, something good has been done and the Facebook version of the game 2.0 is almost complete (as the web version and your administration panel). We have a meeting with our partners in the next week so I think that I can have a testing page for you by the next week.

We would try to contact two american media to test if there is an interest in this game, for marketing and user engagement purposes. We are thinking to Deadline.com and Flixster/RottenTomatoes, by adding also a version of the game based on TV series.

We would like to ask to you if you want to help us to do this try. In particular, in this phase, we would appreciate if you can help to prepare a presentation of the game (I can send you a presentation on which one may work, I have to translate it from italian to english) and to manage contacts with these two media.

If there will be an interest and if we can reach a commercial agreement with one of them, I think that you may obtain a kind of reward or, better, that you can have a role in the agreement (the administrator of the game for the U.S. market? The chief editor for news, updates, etc.?). In fact, if the game will start in Italy too (for the italian market of movies), we can't manage without a help both markets.

So, do you have some time to help us in this try? Any alternative idea to do this?

Obviously, every tip and advice from you will be very appreciated about how you think that will be better to start. And questions, too. I'm ready to answer to your questions.

Thank you, for now.
Manuela

Well looks like Frozen is a slate killer if you didn't take it. Those results don't lie.

I know Weissac along with a friend of ours has built websites for me, as well as a few apps that have quite a few users. Don't think they'd take on something this big for free, but they might have some insight into whether or not we could really pull it off.

Talk to Weissac, Walleye. And tell him if need be, we can all pool our resources and throw what we can into a community hat.

Yeah, I just chose to do the Top 10 in each tournament as of now instead of everybody's. Saves time.

Despite sitting in lowly 9th in the BO tournament at the moment, I'm optimistic. I'm one of the few not to take Anchorman, and to still be in consideration with a lot of my budget to go, I think there's a good chance I can be there or there abouts come the end of the league. Well, here's hoping, anyway!
