I just entered the January leagues. I was thinking "How come we haven't received the passwords yet"... hum... I drank too much champagne those past few days...

Brock all you did was do everyone a favor in not allowing them to choose PA:MO.

I don't know when and if the next updates will happen, but it's possible that when it happens, Mario will archive the August, September and October leagues, which means that we won't get to see the final results.

Therefore, based on the standings from the second-to-last weekend of December, plus some additional calculations of my own, I am declaring the winners.

Regulars Box Office League (OCT) - Name the Title of Your Own Biopic

Hmm. Really thought I had a chance in the Ultimate league thanks to Frozen's huge Christmas.

I am really starting to get worried (and more than a little fed up) with waiting for Mario to answer my inquiries. I know that without our Italian friends, we wouldn't have a game at all, but this is a game that needs constant maintenance. Date changes, name changes, corrections, updates, etc. These are things that have to be done.

As of now, there have been no updates of for the standings in at least two weeks. This wouldn't be quite as maddening if it was in the middle of a month, but this is the end of the YEAR, where we are trying to have conclusive proof of league winners. (I'm so glad I keep separate records.)

However, there's only so much I can do. And as of now, the following tasks have not been done:

1. Update standings through 1/5.
2. Add March movies to Master List (as well as recently added January and February films)
3. Archive completed August and September leagues.
4. Make note of any date and name changes that have occurred in the last two weeks.

Regrettably, I have no control over these things, though I have asked repeatedly for some measure of control. I know the holiday season is really hectic, and that our Italian friends have busy schedules, families and lives outside of this game, but I'm starting to get Fantasy Moguls flashbacks, especially when I send inquiry after inquiry and get no answer. Manuela, who at one point I could really count on to answer my e-mails promptly, has also not been responding.

I know it's too early to panic, but I am a worrier by nature, and if these updates aren't done soon, then the game will be at a standstill unless we go back to doing it by e-mail/PM/posting, which is what we did during the transition period between FM and MMG. I really hope that's not necessary. I know that one of our former members was working on a game site that we could call our own, but that was months ago and I never heard back. Manuela also once promised me administrative control once that could be implemented, but that carrot was dangled in front of me more than a year ago. The last e-mail I got from Manuela was back in October, which stated that they were hoping to complete a Facebook app version of the game (or some such) by the end of 2013.

Any ideas as to what we can do? I know creating a viable website that would meet all our needs is probably expensive and requires at lot of time and maintenance, but it would break my heart if, after all this time, we had to mothball the game again because the people that created it either didn't have the time, manpower or resources to maintain it.

All good things come to an end? Bullshit. There must be something we can do. We're all smart people!

It does really suck that they never gave you any sort of administrative control. And it really doesn't make sense either. You are asking to make their lives easier, and yet they choose not to do so with no reasoning as to why.
