Analysis: Chien maintains his lead, and will now be looking at American Hustle very closely…. It looks like it will only need about $40M for jas to take over first place. And unless Anchorman can get out to a monstrous start, I think this race is down to just those two players.

Analysis: Sorry, Six, but this will be your final week in the top spot. Frozen is still going strong enough so that Shonenbat will pass you by this weekend. But he, too, will likely be passed by the tandem of Chien and Walleye, since getting $50M out of American Hustle doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch. Still with a very long long-shot is Brockster, who will likely need at least $150M out of Anchorman 2 (I presume that’s his last pick) in the next two weeks to even have a shot.

I'm torn here. I think if "American Hustle" makes the exact amount of money needed before December 30th, I can still win both BO FY and BO HY. But I probably won't.
I currently am $46 million ahead of Jas. The difference in our slates stands in me having "12 years a slave" + "Philomena", and him having "American Hustle". My 2 films probably won't make more than 5 or 6 million combined in the next 2 weeks, but that still means Jas will need $50 million out of American Hustle before the end of December. It's not obvious.
In BO HY, it's the other way around, I have "American Hustle" while Shonenbat doesn't, he's got "12 years a slave" and "Blue is the warmest colour". And he's only got $38 million on me, plus what "12 years a slave" will collect.

So basically if I'm correct, if "American Hustle" grabs, say, 45 million dollars in the next 2 weeks, I should be able to stay ahead of Jas in FY, and catch Shonenbat back in HY. And of course I would need "Anchorman 2" to keep a bit quiet...
I think my best shot is to keep the lead in FY, but I'll be keeping an eye on that with excitement !
