Movie Character Names (the rank system)

Post by mateostarr »

How do those names work under our registered names? Is that based on Post count?

If so does anyone have the list of what amount of posts equates to what names?

It does work by post count. Barca set it up so he would be the go to guy for that. I just created the list

Yeah it was a good week. 10-2-1 actually, Houston/San Fransisco was a push. That one actually sucked because Houston had it in the bag and then gave up 21 straight points when Alex Smith came in.

Actually I did the post count thing. I started it at 50 posts, but as you get more posts the gap widens between each character, to something like 125 posts around the middle of the rankings. I never got round to finishing the entire ranking system, but then I guess nobody ever reached that point anyway (even Boussh). And now I'm no longer a moderator its not up to me anymore...

Oh and out of my own personal preference I made Darth Vader no.1 because nobody could decide.

Surfer I thought Barca put it together on here. Its definitely different. I went back in rank when we switched over, even though I have more posts. And if it were up to Barca, he said he would pick Indiana Jones on top.

Sorry, I selected the rankings on TFR. Yes, Barca did do them on here, and if he has set a different system then that would explain your dropping back. And if it's Indy to win, who am I to complain with my Aussie pal....

Yep, Indy on top would be my choice here.

Also, for some people they would have dropped positions because I changed around some of the post requirements to stretch them out a little bit. I still haven't posted them all, but 5000 posts is the max now, i'll post the rest in the next couple of days.

The further along in the list you get, the harder it will be to move up, so while it starts out every 50, it could be every 500 towards the higher ranks. Then, when you reach a certain number, you'll get to chose your own rank basically.

That was the same system I was using on TFR. At least we were both on the same page. Even if your decision on the no.1 is wrong....

Well the whole list is skewed when Napoleon is number 100. :P

#1 and 2 should be Yoda and The Dude. :)

Well, the list was decided democratically, and it was a bitch tallying up all the scores. So what I'm saying is, you guys did it, so no complaining now!

I'm glad it gets harder to move up as it goes up. I expect this place to be around for a long time.

Actually in a democratic system, the only thing you can do is bitch about things. As a great man once said, Compromise is a guarantee that NO ONE is happy. :)
